The "breathe ilo 2.0" app shows all 4 cycle phases:
- menstrual phase (period)
- follicular phase
- ovulation phase
- luteal phase
Menstrual phase
The first day of your period or menstruation is automatically the 1st day of a new cycle. The first day of your period is the day when a clearly noticeable red bleeding is visible. It is important to also always tell the app your 1st day of a new cycle in order to receive correct predictions and for breathe ilo to get to know your cycle. Your menstrual phase ends with the last day of your period.
Important: Spotting or bleeding between periods is not considered a period. Periods and spotting must be clearly differentiated from each other.

Follicular phase
The follicular phase is the phase between your period and the ovulation phase.

Ovulation phase (high fertility)
The ovulation phase is the phase in the cycle during which ovulation happens. breathe ilo shows 6 highly fertile days. If you use the app in combination with the breathe ilo cycle tracker, your ovulation phase (high fertility) in your cycle is accurately determined based on the measurements. The breathe ilo app also learns from your past cycles, so the forecast also becomes more accurate from cycle to cycle.

Lutal phase
The luteal phase is the last phase of the cycle and it takes place after ovulation and before your next period.
During this phase, progesterone in your body increases. PMS symptoms usually occur mainly in this phase. Your cycle ends with the end of the luteal phase. As soon as your period starts, please enter this data in your app to tell the app to save the start of your new cycle.
